Welcome to Willow Oak Baptist Church

Willow Oak Missionary Baptist Church began during the summer of 1953 in the Old Town Community of Walnut Cove, North Carolina under the leadership of Reverend Robert Lee Mabe and his wife Kathleen.  Outdoor meetings were held during the summer and when cold weather came, the body of believers moved into a pack house on the farm where Reverend Mabe's daddy tended the land.  Reverend Mabe served as pastor until August 1955.
